A | 据新华社消息,人力资源和社会保障部4月23日发布数据,一季度全国城镇新增就业303万人,同比增加了6万人。 Islamabad, Oct 12 (UNI) A leading Pakistani newspaper on Wednesday called for an investigation into persisting allegations that "a foreign conspiracy" brought down the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
"Confusion and obfuscation have become a predominant feature of our national politics," the Dawn said in an editorial.
It referred to President Arif Alvi reportedly changing his stance after asserting earlier that he was not convinced a "foreign conspiracy" indeed toppled cricketer-turned-politician's PTI government.
The Dawn said it cannot disagree with the President’s contention that “a thorough investigation” was needed into the allegation.
"It would help clear the murkiness that still surrounds the issue despite two NSC meetings discounting the existence of such a scheme," it said.
The PTI has continued to relentlessly push the theory, even after the leak of two audio clips in which some of its top leaders, including Khan, appear to be discussing how to “play” with the contents of the cipher.
It said that if a probe was conducted by a committee acceptable to all, it will help lower political temperatures in the country.
